A Diploma course in Flower Essence
Therapy with Laurel Alexander
Flower essence therapy is a sub-category of homeopathy which uses
homeopathic dilutions of flowers. This practice was begun by Edward
Bach with the Bach Flower Remedies but is now practiced much more
widely, utilizing flowers all over the world. There are numerous
makers of flower essences, using the flowers that are local to
their region.
This course takes you through the requirements necessary for you
to practice flower essence therapy with clients.
Entry Requirement for Diploma In Flower Essence Therapy
To qualify for entry for the Diploma in Flower Essence Therapy,
you should be over 21 and have a good educational background plus
good English reading and writing skills.
Accredited prior learning (APL) with be taken into account for
the anatomy and physiology module and the counseling skills module.
Students with evidence of a previous qualification in either
of these will be exempt on production of their certificate
or inclusion
of either of these in another course. A reduction in fees will
be offered.
Course Recognition
Complementary HealthCare is a recognized and authorized course
provider of the CMA.
As a Complementary HealthCare student, enrolment on the Diploma
in Wellness Coaching will enable you to directly join the Complementary
Medical Association (CMA) as a student member.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Wellness Coaching,
you can obtain insurance with the CMA to practice.

Membership
Students are eligible for membership to the Flower Essence Society.
PLUS
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Flower Essence Therapy,
you can apply for membership to the World Federation of Healing
(WFH).
How the Diploma In Flower Essence Therapy
course is delivered
Complementary HealthCare offers the Diploma in Flower Essence
Therapy through blended learning whereby you can start your course
at any time of the year. The mode of delivery is by supported open
learning (home-study) and supervised practice at times to suit.

Supported open learning
Supported open learning is designed to give you
the underpinning knowledge you need in order to practice flower
essence therapy. There are 10 modules containing learning material
including guided reading and set assignments which you complete
at home in your own time. The assignments are sent to your tutor
for marking and comment. Throughout your learning, there is full
tutor support in person and via phone, post, email and webcam.
In addition to the assignments, you will need to complete a research
project by the end of the course.
Supervised practice
You will accumulate 30 hours of supervised skills
development taken in Brighton in a real-life therapy environment,
at times to suit (day, evening or Saturdays). You will be working
with a range of volunteer clients.
Case studies
As part of your supervised practice; you will complete 3 case
studies, each seen 4 times.
Mentoring and Self Development
The Diploma in Flower Essence Therapy has a strong
focus on self-awareness for each student as a firm and ongoing
foundation for both personal and professional development. Your
self development is reflected in your learning journal which you
will keep throughout the time you are on this course. 
Assessment
There are 150 hours of learning for the Diploma in Flower Essence
Therapy plus 30 hours of supervised coaching.

Fundamental to the course is the recognition of the need to bring ourselves

appropriate essences for their own healing, self-development and learning

Further Study
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Flower Essence Therapy,
you could go onto the Diploma in Quartz Crystal Healing, the Certificate
in Life Skills Coaching, the Diploma in Wellness Coaching, the
Diploma in Personal Development Coaching, the Diploma in Career
Coaching or the Diploma in Stress Management.
