This 3-day course is for anyone considering delivering wellness or wellbeing workshops including complementary therapists, wellness professionals and coaches. The course is suitable for those with limited experience of delivering workshops and is loaded with practical tools and techniques.

This course has UKRLP registration and is on the UK Register for Learning Providers.

Wellness for Life is a recognized and authorized course provider of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). How to Run Successful Wellbeing Workshops carries 10+ CPD points. There is also the option of becoming a member of the CMA.

COURSE OVERVIEW

You will learn how to:

  • identify your market
  • develop ideas for wellness workshops
  • define workshop objectives
  • organize a workshop: administration, when, where etc.
  • design a workshop: length, opening, the body, using visuals, finale and closure
  • recognize different learning styles and how to adapt delivery to meet these styles
  • choose between different delivery methods
  • choose between a facilitative or directive delivery style
  • ensure training is interactive and participative
  • deal with challenging participants
  • evaluate a workshop

COURSE STRUCTURE

A good learning experience is not just about presentation. A good learning experience should be made up of at least 50% participant experience. This course is therefore very interactive, with plenty of opportunity for you to discuss and develop your ideas as well as practice a range of delivery options. Each participant will have the opportunity of delivering a micro-workshop.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Laurel has been a facilitator and tutor for over 20 years. She has run independently accredited courses for several years and has facilitated many courses in both the public and private sector. Laurel has written the internationally received training resource 675 Ways to Develop Yourself and Your People (Gower) as well as the books Education & Training on the Internet (Internet Handbooks) and Secrets of Successful Online Training (Management Books 2000). Her tutoring and facilitation style is always practical and inspiring.

FEE

The fee of £399 includes an experienced tutor/facilitator who is also a wellness, learning material, pre-course textbook and CPD certification. The fee does not include accommodation.
