Client comments
on anxiety management
- Able to deal with current stressful problems more logically and
calmly. S.D.
- I suffer from bouts of IBS and was very tense at a particular
time. Using imagery I was able to develop a technique to
help manage
it away. Pauline
- I’ve been a bit of a “fiddler” most of my life – a
habit which got even worse after I gave up smoking several years
ago. I would twiddle my hair and had a habit of pulling my lip.
Laurel helped me to become more aware of what I was doing. It wasn’t
so much out of stress as a long-standing habit. Laurel suggested
I clenched my fist whenever I felt like a twiddle or a lip pull.
At first I was aware of clenching my fist several times a day but
I didn’t fiddle. Now I’m down to a couple of
fist clenches a day and still no fiddles. Great! Bob.
- Guided imagery and counseling helped me to understand and
accept my drug treatment. D.R.
- Thank you so much for your help. I really have started to
rethink my thoughts and re-educate my way of thinking, and
when I manage
it I find the writing helpful and illuminating. Julia.
- Have found seeing Laurel has had a huge positive impact on
my healing. The guided imagery made me feel extremely relaxed.
H.M.
- Reflexology made me feel very relaxed and calm within myself.
J.S.
- Laurel is very easy to talk to. M.W.
- The sessions made me more relaxed and helped me to put my
cancer in perspective. J.G.
- I felt less tense and ready for the next chemo session. N.M.
