INSPIRATION:
At 39 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and following
recovery became qualified in stress management therapy, reflexology,
Reiki (practitioner and teacher) and nutritional therapy.
CANCER WORK:
- complementary therapist for the Nigel Porter Unit (breast
cancer), Royal Sussex County Hospital
- complementary cancer care therapist with the Sussex Cancer Centre
- complementary therapist on a Clinical Study of HRT in Women being
treated for Breast Cancer at the Sussex Cancer Centre, Royal
Sussex County Hospital
- editor and writer of a Patients Newsletter for the Nigel Porter
Unit
- facilitating a therapeutic writing group for patients/survivors
of breast cancer for Nigel Porter Unit
- reviewer of complementary therapy material for CancerHelp UK (patient
information website of Cancer ResearchUK)
- visiting lecturer at the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery, University
of Brighton on the Cancer Nursing Pathway course
- visiting speaker for the charity Breast Cancer Care.

Prison, Business & Professional Women, British Gas, Lewes Tertiary
College and Tomorrow’s People (formally Grand Met).
COACHING:
My coaching experience spans more than twenty years and
covers career management, personal development and wellness
with individuals and groups.
MENTORING:
I have worked in a mentoring capacity with adults for
over ten years in relation to career management.
TV & RADIO:
I have been on Meridian TV giving advice on stress
management and radio phone-ins giving guidance on natural health/beauty
and managing redundancy. I was the stress counsellor for Brighton & Hove
City Council’s Ninelives Campaign.
